English Proficiency Program

According to Wikipedia, a universal language may refer to a hypothetical or historical language spoken and understood by all or most of the world's population. The world’s, most spoken language is mandarin (Chinese) but if there was one language that could have a chance of being considered universal, it would be English.

Quezon City Academy is an English speaking community. It was announced last September by Mrs. Vivien R. Riano, principal. She stated that QCA students and staff should start practicing English inside the school even when conversing with friends.
Practice makes perfect right? But now, are you still using English? Most of the students have already forgotten about this. What they don’t see are the benefits they will get from practicing English now.

The largest professional engineering organizations use English as their primary language, making English an effective method to communicate business transactions for a successful career. Using it now will improve our grammar and prepare us for the future. Most of the students who tell me they “need more practice in English” before were talking about speaking, about finding more opportunities for conversation. Well QCA has opened one, participating in conversations can really help improve our grammar. When we are speaking with someone, we don't have time to go through all the rules in our head. But we should not only listen but also speak. Remember, learning is by doing. We can master effective English speaking when we are also enhancing our vocabulary and using it in our sentences and daily conversation.

The best way to build confidence in speaking the English language is to practice what we have learned. We should not be afraid to commit mistakes. We have to believe in ourselves. Once we talk with self-confidence, we would start to sound more convincing.
Let us not waste this opportunity that QCA has given us. Let’s make the best out of it. Practice English now and be a step closer to success tomorrow.
