Recollection has been one of the most awaited events for the seniors every school year where they are engaged in an overnight spiritual seminar in a seminary. The recollection aims to boost the spiritual, moral, emotional, physical, social and behavioral aspects.
It is also the time for the students to express their deepest feelings and to unwind from the busy life in the city.
Accompanied by two teachers, each section spent overnight at the Tahanang Nazareth, Alagad ni Maria in Barangay San Isidro, Antipolo City.
The students had a schedule of activities laid out for them to follow during their stay at the retreat house. All the activities they went through were guided by Brother Alfred Layco. He gave a short seminar, about the basic rules and regulations to follow.
After having their lunch and siesta, the students underwent an activity where they drew symbols representing their self, with a group-sharing about it later.
There was also a short group game that measured the teamwork and perseverance of the students. A sharing about this activity was conducted afterwards. Before having their rest for the night, the students were given a chance to read the letters from their parents to which they replied afterwards.
To wrap everything up, a celebration of the Holy Eucharist was celebrated the next day.
“The retreat made me realize a lot of things and I acquired a new perspective in life,” Julius Paolo Basa, fourth year governor stated.
“It was another chance to bond and enjoy with my classmates,” Christian Tagarino of Benitez remarked.
“It made me see the good in everyone and treat them as blessing before judging them,” Mary Gimenez of Escoda told this reporter.
